Senior Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to support business decisions. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets to support organizational goals.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks for efficient financial management.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Manage a full set of accounting books and records.
- Prepare complete personal tax filings and corporate tax filings.
- Client management skills.
- Review junior staff's work, and train junior staff as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum three years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; strong communication skills.
- Canadian experience is required.
- Having Cantonese and Mandarin language abilities is an asset.
