Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Halton Region, ON

Our client in Halton Region, ON is actively looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team.

Position Description
  • Assist with leading and managing the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and reporting, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP (ASPE) and company policies.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as required.
  • Assist with daily treasury and cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as assigned by management.
  • Assist with preparation of HST / QST and other compliance, tax and corporate filings.
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
