Commissionaires’ NL provides security services to the Garrison St. John’s. The site manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and providing overall leadership to the site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Submitting payroll and scheduling
  • Reporting all security infractions or unusual incidents
  • Briefing and training of new Commissionaires on their duties and responsibilities
  • Inspection of log entries for accuracy and completion
  • Keeping up to date on personnel files and noting expiry dates on First Aid and Security Clearances
  • PER’S – completed yearly
  • Administration and discipline of employees
WHO WE’RE SEEKING
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The duties and responsibilities in this security‑related role may include, but are not limited to:

  • Be professional & reliable
  • Police Certificate of Conduct
  • Be able to complete a Government of Canada Reliability Screening through Commissionaires
  • Must have computer skills
  • Must have full availability
  • Pervious security experience considered an asset
  • Pervious supervisory or management experience required
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

The selected candidate will be a professional and detail driven individual with a strong work ethic and “can do” attitude. Both physical and mental fitness is required. This often involves working in all types of environment conditions at varying times throughout the day or night.

    • React calmly, quickly, and appropriately in any crisis
    • Communicate observed characteristics/behaviours
    • Demonstrate problem‑solving and sound judgement

    • Navigate foot patrols
