Job Overview

As an SAP Functional Consultant - Finance at OPG, you will play a mission-critical role in the implementation and continuous optimization of SAP Finance solutions. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective SAP processes, ensuring alignment with OPG\'s Strategic Transformation Roadmap (STR). Your expertise will help drive process excellence, compliance, and business value across OPG\'s finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Finance modules (FI/CO, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.) to support OPG\'s business objectives.
• Analyze and translate business requirements into SAP-enabled solutions, ensuring robust process alignment and integration with other SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Develop functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and workflows.
• Support data migration, data validation, and reconciliation activities for finance-related objects.
• Collaborate with technical teams on solution integration, custom developments, and troubleshooting.

Business Process Optimization & Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct fit-gap analysis, process mapping, and solution prototyping to optimize finance-related processes.
• Facilitate workshops, training, and knowledge transfer sessions for end users and business process owners.
• Ensure finance processes are compliant with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and OPG\'s governance standards.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices, configuration, and change management for finance operations.

Project Management & Agile Delivery

• Work closely with project managers, scrum masters, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of finance workstreams.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
• Support testing, defect resolution, and cutover planning for SAP Finance modules.

Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership

• Stay current with SAP S/4HANA Finance innovations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Share insights, best practices, and lessons learned within the SAP and OPG finance communities.
• Demonstrate initiative and a self-driven attitude in identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving project success.
