Job description

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Pipefitter to support operations on our newest site located in Kitimat BC.

LNG Canada is nearing completion of the first LNG export facility in Canada and Tacten has been awarded the maintenance contract for this site.

Tacten will be providing the maintenance services utilizing rope access technology and all Pipefitters will be required to obtain IRATA Training and Certification

  • Position is based locally in Kitimat BC.
  • Immediate start date
  • Position will be 40 hrs/week and possible overtime
  • Rate will be up to $49.00/hr depending on certifications
Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project’s startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations.

  • Installation and assembling of piping systems.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes
  • Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system
  • Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Pipefitter
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain assitance with training can be provided
  • Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps etc
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and provincialstandards in BC
  • located in Kitimat BC or willing to relocate
