Job description

Monitors and analyzes activity against company goals. Supervises staff in accordance with company policies and procedures. Responsible for training, disciplining, and coaching employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists with the daily operational activities of the department on an assigned shift. Suggests procedures to improve the operating quality and efficiency of the department.
  • Ensures that high quality guest services is maintained on assigned shift.
  • Reviews daily and monthly reports. Recommends changes in accordance with current needs.
  • Identifies and resolves employee and guest concerns on assigned shift.
  • Recommends special programs to increase room occupancy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Trains, supervises, motivates and evaluates department staff.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors on Departmental operations.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Computer literate with emphasis on Word and Excel. Ability to learn new software applications. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of administrative experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of sales promotion techniques. This is normally acquired through three to five years of sales or reservation experience.
  • Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require weekend and/or early morning and evening work.
