Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support Store Operations, lead a small team, and ensure exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment in Summerland, BC. You will assist with daily tasks, train staff, manage cash duties, and help maintain a safe, organized store.

The role requires about 1 year of retail experience, a year in a supervisory role, and flexible availability including weekends. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Approximately one year of relevant experience in retail.
• At least one year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves.
• Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Following up on assigned tasks.
• Conducting manager-on-duty tasks: ensuring breaks, time and attendance are tracked and participating in hiring and performance management.
