Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, driving customer satisfaction and sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the manager's absence.

You will lead operations, assist with staffing, training, and development, while upholding company policies and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Open availability and strong leadership are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Support merchandising, stocking, and daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach, and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties.
• Assign tasks and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
