Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Canada to support the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving sales goals. This role acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence, with responsibilities spanning staff management, merchandising, and daily store tasks.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of retail and supervisory experience, with open availability and strong leadership, communication, and decision-making

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience minimum.
• At least two years in a supervisory/management role.
• Open availability including days, evenings and weekends.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Help with merchandising, stocking and unpacking daily shipments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve escalated issues.
• Train, coach and develop employees.
• Perform cash management and opening/closing duties as needed.
• Assign tasks to the team and ensure store safety and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
