Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations in Ontario. The role focuses on leading staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and meeting sales targets, with responsibility for opening/closing procedures and cash handling.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in retail, 2+ years in a supervisory role, and strong leadership and communication abilities. Open availability is required to cover day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.
