The Resident Care Attendant reports to the Executive Director or the Director of Care and supports the implementation and evaluation of resident care services in accordance with applicable provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times.

What you’ll do
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living and delivers personal care services in a manner that promotes choice, involvement and participation to the greatest degree possible
  • Assists delivery of meals, housekeeping, laundry and therapeutic recreation programs
  • Be resident-centered in your approach and model AgeCare\'s values in all interactions with the public, team members, residents and their families
  • Participates in the delivery of social, recreational and therapeutic programs including group activities, outings and special events
What you’ll need
  • Graduate of Health Care Assistant program from a college recognized by the Post-Secondary Education Commission
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrates genuine interest and concern for the well-being of seniors
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry
