Description

Toromont Cat is seeking a Remote Site Technician to join our expanding Mining team. The Fly in/Fly Out Remote Site Technicians will support service operations across various locations including Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Arctic, Newfoundland, and Labrador, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.

The Remote Site Technicians will diagnose, repair, and assemble Caterpillar mining and earthmoving equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining high standards and positive customer relations.

As a Remote Site Technician, YOU will:

In a typical day, YOU will:

  • Follow safety, environmental, and health policies at all times
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using Caterpillar testing equipment
  • Repair or assemble earthmoving equipment within established timelines and quality standards
  • Prepare accurate service reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with onsite mechanical staff
  • Maintain good customer relations
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures

Must-haves for this role:

  • Post-secondary education with a relevant Technician license applicable in the province
  • At least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience repairing and servicing heavy construction or mining equipment
