Registered Veterinary Technologist, RVT

Location: Lake Country, BC

Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre is seeking dedicated Registered Veterinary Technologists (RVTs) to join our team in September 2025. We value team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

Our Technologists have the opportunity to work with a variety of cases involving both companion animals and exotic species. Responsibilities include providing wellness and preventative care, assisting in urgent care management, and overseeing anesthesia for surgeries. We are expanding our ER department to 24/7 services, with shifts ranging from daytime to overnight, including shared weekend shifts. Rotations are designed to support work-life balance, with schedules primarily consisting of 10-hour shifts, and pure overnight shifts available for emergency-focused staff.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Completion or ongoing completion of a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
  • Skills in physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
  • Surgical preparation, assistance, and patient recovery
  • Accurate record-keeping
  • Compassionate care for hospitalized patients and clients
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Desire for ongoing professional development

Additional growth opportunities are available, including specialization and referral department roles.

Compensation: Starting wages for new grads are competitive and increase with experience. Evening and overnight premiums are provided.
