A healthcare organization in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to provide quality, patient-centered care in a clinic setting. The RPN will be responsible for rooming patients, assisting with examinations, and coordinating care for outpatient therapies. The ideal candidate must have a current RPN certification, CPR certification, and recent experience in a clinic. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are essential for this fast-paced environment.

As a member of the healthcare team, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides quality patient centered care to patients within the RPN scope of practice, and in collaboration with the RN when indicated. Within the clinic setting the RPN will be responsible for rooming patients, reviewing and documenting patient visits, and assisting with examinations and specimen collection. Within the Medical Day Care the nurse assigned will be responsible for coordinating care for patients receiving outpatient therapy plans (IV antibiotics, blood products, iron infusions). The nurse is responsible for providing and documenting any health teaching, follow up and patient materials provided to the patient prior to the end of the visit. The role will also include all aspects of care for the obstetrics and gynecology patient within the RPN scope of practice. The role encompasses patient assessment, care, support and health teaching as well as procedure room set up and equipment management.
