A local health care provider in Hamilton seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered and evidence-informed care. This role requires collaboration with a team, focusing on patients with complex needs, especially within the dialysis program. Ideal candidates will have registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and prior experience in medical/surgical nursing, with a commitment to nursing excellence and community engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care professional who adheres to and models the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario; the SJHH mission, vision and values, policies and procedures; and applicable specialty standards. The RN provides patient/client-centered and evidence informed care to promote health and assess the need for the provision of care and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitation means in order to attain or maintain optimal patient/client function. The RN collaborates with the inter-professional team and assumes a leadership role in the delivering a full range of care and treatment to patient/clients including those with complex needs, high acuity and less predictable outcomes.
For the Charlton Support position: The successful applicant will provide support and coverage within the dialysis program. Full Time Support positions will be utilized to cover maternity leaves, medical leaves and other long term leaves. The incumbent may be assigned to cover longer term or shorter term/episodic needs in the Dialysis program.
