Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

Under the direction of the Unit Manager, the ER/HAU RN provides direct nursing care to Emergency and High Acuity care patients according to established standards and policies. The RN identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care to meet patients' physical, social, and psychological needs in the Emergency and High Acuity Care environment. Nursing practice is guided by the vision and values of Northern Health, BCCN&M Standards of Nursing Practice, and the Code of Ethics. The RN will follow Northeast Health Services Delivery Area and Dawson Creek and District Hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Days, Nights - 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00, Rotating

Dawson Creek & District Hospital

Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full-service community hospital serving Dawson Creek and surrounding areas. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for Northeast BC. Services include:

  • Day Surgery
  • Respiratory Therapy

  • Acute Care
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Laboratory

Visiting specialists include Urology, Dermatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology.
