Job summary

A community-based teaching hospital in Mississauga is looking for a Full-Time Registered Nurse for the Paediatric Unit. The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and at least one year of pediatric experience. This role includes managing patient care, acting as a consultant and educator, and must comply with the College of Nurses standards. All shifts are available, and candidates from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

  • All shift availability is required.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will meet performance standards as outlined by the College of Nurses and by the Trillium Health Centre policies and procedures
  • Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of medical care for patients
  • Practitioner, consultant and educator for appropriate patient groups and health care team members

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a recognized College or School of Nursing and preferably hold a Baccalaureate degree.
  • Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO.
  • PALS certification preferred
  • CPR/ACLS
  • Minimum of one year Paediatric experience
  • All shift availability is required
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development is preferred
  • Satisfactory attendance and performance required.
