Job Summary

The Caregiver provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions
  • Personal Care
  • Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheelchair, walker, crutches, cane), change of position, with toileting, commode, incontinent care
  • Handle meal planning, preparation and feeding
  • Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
  • Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
  • Willing to work in a Facility environment
Requirements
  • A passion to serve and help others live their best lives possible.
  • Registered as a Health Care Aide in BC
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Speaking multiple languages is an asset
  • Previous experience as a Health Care Aide in homes or Facility is a bonus
