Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car to support clients in the Langley area. You will work on cluster shifts, delivering home care and companionship to seniors and adults in need.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs/IADLs, reporting changes to the health care team, and driving clients to appointments. Candidates must have a valid HCA certificate with BC registry number, First Aid/CPR, criminal record check, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a Driver's License and own vehicle.
• Access to a mobile phone is required.
• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number are mandatory.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training is required.
• Criminal Record Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of client care and home support under supervision.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to health care team.
• Support ADLs and IADLs to maximize client independence.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, meals, and toileting.
• Perform light household tasks and help with shopping, laundry, etc.
• Drive clients to appointments and outings using own vehicle.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available in the Langley area to join our growing team for cluster shifts. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
