Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car for Langley area cluster shifts. You will provide in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults needing assistance.

The role involves assisting with ADLs/IADLs, mobility, meals, errands, and transportation under a health care team. Requirements include an HCA certificate, BC Registry Number, CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license with own vehicle, and morning availability.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and own vehicle are required.
• HCA certificate and BC Registry number are required.
• Current First Aid and CPR training.
• Criminal Record Check required.
• Morning availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team guidance.
• Observe and report significant changes in clients’ condition.
• Assist with ADLs and IADLs to maximize independence.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding, toileting.
• Help with meals, shopping, laundry, and light housekeeping.
• Provide input to care planning and maintain a safe home environment.
• Transport clients to appointments in their vehicle.

We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
