Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car to support seniors in the Richmond area. Join a growing in-home care team delivering compassionate care and companionship in clients' homes.

You will assist with ADLs/IADLs, document changes, and coordinate with the health care team to maximize client independence. Travel to clients' locations in Vancouver area may be required.

Qualifications

• Driver’s License and own vehicle is a MUST.
• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training
• Criminal Record Check is required
• Weekend/evening availability is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of client care and home support under health care team.
• Observe client condition and report significant changes.
• Collaborate with health care team to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with meal prep, shopping, laundry and light housekeeping.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input in care planning with the health care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available in the Richmond area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
