Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to support seniors in the Vancouver area with in-home care and companionship. You will work under the health care team to provide daily living assistance and monitor client well-being.

Ideal candidates hold a BC HCA certificate with registry number, CPR/First Aid, and a valid driver’s license. Weekend/evening availability is required, and travel to clients’ homes may be needed. Competitive pay starts at $23/hour with paid training.

Qualifications

• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Weekend/evening availability is a MUST.
• Driver’s License and own vehicle is a BONUS.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries, laundry, etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
