Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to join our Vancouver area team. You will provide compassionate in-home care and support to seniors and adults needing assistance at home, under the health care team's direction.

The role emphasizes assisting with ADLs/IADLs, reporting changes, and promoting independence. A valid HCA certificate and BC registry number are required, with travel to surrounding communities as needed.

Qualifications

• HCA certificate and BC Registry Number are required.
• First Aid and CPR training are required.
• Criminal record check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team guidance.
• Observe and report significant changes in clients’ condition.
• Collaborate with health care team, clients and caregivers to maximize ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding and toileting.
• Support with household tasks to enable client independence.
• Encourage and involve clients in their care and care planning.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) available for the Vancouver area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiveryou will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Job Requirements:

• Driver’s License and own vehicle is a bonus!
