Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to support Vancouver area clients in their homes, with a car for local travel. You will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, and companionship, delivering compassionate, person-centered care in collaboration with the health care team.

Evening and weekend shifts are available. Required credentials include an HCA certificate and BC Registry Number, with First Aid and CPR training, a valid driver’s license and own vehicle, and a clean criminal

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of client care and home support under health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe and report changes.
• Collaborate with health care team, clients, and caregivers to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with meal prep, shopping, laundry, and other household tasks.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input in care planning with health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients to appointments and outings.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available for evening and weekend shift in the Vancouver area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
