Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to support seniors in the Langley area. You will provide in-home care and companionship under the guidance of the health care team, assisting with ADLs and IADLs, mobility, bathing, meals, and daily routines.

The role emphasizes compassionate, client-centred care, requires a valid HCA certificate and BC registry number, CPR/First Aid, a clean background check, and access to a mobile phone.

Qualifications

• HCA certificate and BC registry number are required.
• Current First Aid and CPR training are required.
• Criminal record check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team guidance.
• Observe and report changes in clients' presentation and progress.
• Support independence in ADLs and IADLs with clients and families.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with meal prep, shopping, laundry, and household tasks.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care and activities.
• Contribute to care planning with input to health care team.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment for clients and staff.
• Transport clients to appointments or outings when needed.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) available for the Langley area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client's presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Job Requirements:

• Driver's License and own vehicle is a bonus!
