Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car to join our Richmond area team. The role involves delivering in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults needing assistance in their homes.

You will assist with ADLs/IADLs, support care plans, and report changes to the health care team while maintaining a safe, clean home environment and driving clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and own vehicle required.
• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number required.
• First Aid and CPR training.
• Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of client care and home support under health care team.
• Observe and report significant changes in client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with health care team to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with meal prep, shopping, laundry, and other household tasks.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input in care planning process.
• Maintain clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients to appointments and outings.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available in the Richmond area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
