Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to support seniors across the Vancouver area. You will assist with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe, comfortable home.

This role offers paid training, a friendly team, and flexible start dates. A valid HCA certificate, BC Registry Number, First Aid/CPR and a clean criminal record are required; a driver’s license and own vehicle are a bonus.

Qualifications

• Assisting in client care and home support under health care team guidance.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Collaborate with care team to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver client care and home support under health care team direction.

• Assist with meal prep, shopping, laundry and household chores.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Job Requirements:

• Driver's License and own vehicle is a bonus!
• Genuinely concerned about helping people
• Access to a mobile phone
• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST
• Current First Aid and CPR Training
• Criminal Record Check
• Fluent in both Spanish and English is a bonus!

Our office serves seniors in Vancouver and surrounding communities, including Richmond, Vancouver. This position may require travel to those areas – we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
