Job Overview
The Regional Supervisor of Homecare, Continuing Care is responsible for overseeing the delivery and quality of personal support services for clients in the Yellowknife Region, under the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority (NTHSSA). This role provides a balanced mix of direct fieldwork and administrative leadership, with approximately 50% of the workday spent in clients¿ homes. The Supervisor leads and mentors Personal Support Workers (PSWs), manages daily operations, coordinates individualized care planning, and drives continuous quality improvement to support client well-being and independence.

Key Qualifications and Equivalencies
Education and Experience
Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Certificate.
Minimum three (3) years of recent LPN experience in a home or community healthcare setting.
Minimum two (2) years of recent supervisory experience in a clinical or care environment.
Certifications
Current CPR and First Aid (maintained annually).
Eligibility for registration with the Canadian Council for Practical Nurse
Regulators (CCPNR) in the Northwest Territories.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and mentorship skills.
Knowledge of home and community care best practices, client-centered care, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Culturally responsive care, conflict resolution, and communication proficiency.
