The role involves operating a test vehicle, inspecting equipment, recording data, and ensuring safety protocol adherence. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, a valid driver's license, and mechanical aptitude. The position demands physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 or higher with air brake endorsement.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Be able to perform basic mechanical tasks (change a tire, replace a battery, etc.).
• Be able to lift and carry up to 85 lbs., occasionally assist in lifting objects over 100 lbs.
• Be able to squat, kneel, etc., for extended periods of time.
• Be able to crawl under an 18-inch clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate test vehicle/detector car under varying conditions.
• Record and interpret data on computer monitors.
• Perform vehicle inspections and equipment set-up.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment, ensuring safety compliance.
• Communicate effectively with crew for instructions and safety.
