You will be responsible for designing and simulating the physical layer of a quantum computer, as well as investigating methods for preparing qubits. The ideal candidate holds an MSc or PhD in a related field and is adept at navigating fast-paced environments. Join us in pioneering the future of quantum computing!
About Xanadu:
Xanadu’s mission is to build quantum computers that are useful and available to people everywhere. At Xanadu, we are learners, innovators, researchers, collaborators and problem solvers. We are creating something that has never been built before. What we are doing is extremely hard, the classic moon shot. Few people in their life will be able to be a part of something like this, where if we are successful, the technologies we develop will solve some of the world’s most challenging problems and literally change the world. And that is something to be excited about!
As a member of the architecture team, the selected candidate will work on designing, simulating, and optimizing the physical/quantum optics layer of Xanadu’s photonic quantum computer. This can include investigating methods for preparing bosonic qubits and cluster states, developing new theory and numerical tools, studying physical sources of noise, and providing theory support for experimental demos.
