Overview

Job Title: Quality Control Technician

Job Type: Temporary ongoing (strong opportunity to go permanent)

Location: Scarborough, Ontario (Morningside & Lawrence)

Shift/Hours: Day Shift (7:00am-3:00pm) or Afternoon Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm), Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: $21-$25.00/hr depending on experience

Our client in Scarborough is looking for a reliable and motivated Quality Control Technician to support their team. If you\'re a hands-on team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Accurately perform all product tests as required and to properly document all results.
  • Accurately adjust all in process batches.
  • Ensure that a supervisor or appropriate person signs off on all product non-conformance releases.
  • Maintain and calibrate all QC measurement and testing equipment as required.
  • Accurately issue customer certificates of analysis.
  • Track and file raw material certifications of analysis as required.
  • Prepare customer samples and dyes for production as required.
  • Ensure production batch procedures are made available as required.
  • Perform shipping audits, including attachment of freeze indicators.
  • Maintain and clean QC work area and lab, including disposal of expired samples.
  • Other general duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous QC experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably 3 - 5 years.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Chemical technology diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment

You\'ll be working in a chemical production facility, handling diverse tasks and projects in a team-oriented environment. Ideal candidate will be reliable, a team player, and effectively follow instructions. Work environment may be dirty or sticky at times.
