Job summary

Job description

The Purchasing and Warehouse position is a key role in supporting the operation teams through the preparation of purchase orders, supporting with requisitions, obtaining price quotations, and working alongside suppliers. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent organizational skills, and is a self-starter. Compensation Information

$21.27 per hour

Physical Requirement

Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; both in an indoor & outdoor setting.

Skills You Bring With You
  • Valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver’s License (required).
  • Some experience using Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the purchasing of goods and services in response to requisitions submitted by authorized personnel.
  • Organize and execute town pick-ups from suppliers for departmental orders.
  • Complete town runs for emergency requests as needed.
  • Distribution of internal mail for SPR/SPG staff.
  • Source price quotations from suppliers and catalogues; prepare and process purchase orders accordingly.
  • Coordinate delivery logistics to ensure cost-effective and timely shipments.
  • Receive and verify incoming goods and materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve shortages, delivery delays, or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all goods received and processed.
