Reporting to the Team Lead of the Materials Department, the position of Project Manager – Materials Control/Engineering offers an opportunity to immerse yourself in the fascinating field of materials engineering. As a key member of our team in Saguenay, the successful candidate will actively contribute to supporting the continuous growth of our department. This opportunity will allow you not only to gain valuable experience but also to participate in innovative projects that shape the future of our organization. The Project Manager oversees the technical and administrative execution of each materials engineering project. Responsibilities include preparing professional service proposals, monitoring projects, reviewing expert reports, and training staff. The position reports to the Team Lead, Materials Engineering.

Your Role
  • Plan project work.
  • Validate certificates of compliance.
  • Prepare work instructions and communicate them to technicians.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed by technicians.
  • Track ongoing site work.
  • Travel to sites for supervision and expertise.
  • Draft reports.
  • Monitor project progress (budget and schedule).
  • Know, apply, and promote company health and safety rules.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mineral, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards (ASP card).
  • CAPM or PMP certification (an asset) or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in French (English is an asset).
  • Autonomous, organized, and team-oriented.
  • Own a vehicle.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
