Job description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Business Analyst to support our multi-year automation program in the energy sector. This role focuses on project requirements documentation and management, stakeholder coordination, and ensuring deliverables align with project objectives and timelines. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to facilitate collaboration across technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leadership while maintaining comprehensive project documentation and ensuring requirements traceability.

Essential Responsibilities (Must Have):
  • Maintain and manage the Requirements Traceability Matrix across multiple projects ensuring all requirements are documented, tracked, and validated.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Engineering & Reliability stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements.
  • Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with functional requirements and project plans.
  • Coordinate stakeholder reviews and feedback on project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Lead to ensure technical interfaces and integration points across projects are documented.
  • Experience gathering business requirements for SCADA, PLC, and HMI implementations.
  • Experience managing project documentation and maintaining version control.
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and documentation management systems.
  • Ability to identify project risks, identify and support mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
  • Support development of test plans and coordinate testing activities with user acceptance criteria.
Desired Skills (Great to Have):
  • Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses using standard frameworks (ROI, NPV, IRR).
  • Support data management initiatives ensuring compliance with client policies.
  • Review Project Execution Plans and provide feedback on project approach.
  • Coordinate training plan development for client stakeholders on new systems.
  • Experience standardizing reporting and analytical frameworks.
Additional Capabilities (Nice to Have):
  • General familiarity with operational technology systems in energy environments.
  • Understanding of pipeline and midstream operations and facilities.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Maintenance processes.
  • Experience with Energy sector system implementations.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Oil & Gas or Energy industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience creating project documentation and tracking deliverables.
  • Exceptional communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes in technical environments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
