Who we’re looking for

The Wireline Program Manager reports into the National Access Program Management Office (PMO). The PMO works closely with key functional areas of the business (Network Implementation, Access & Core Technology, IT, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customer Care, OSS, RB, Network Development, etc.) to oversee impacts, interdependencies and timelines between functional teams while ensuring project initiatives meet goals and objectives set by senior and executive leadership. This group is responsible for delivering the overall Wireline Access Network capital plans on time and within budget. The position is highly technical and managerially demanding and requires a balance of project management skills, analytical ability, proven managerial skills, and team interpersonal skills. You will lead individual work streams as assigned by your manager.

What you’ll do
  • Adhere to all Rogers Communications Canada Inc policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that project initiatives meet leadership and / or customer expectations.
  • Supervise stakeholders and manage defined scope.
  • Foster team cohesion and remove roadblocks to keep the team moving forward.
  • Provide end-to-end project management for highly complex projects with high impact and high visibility.
  • Validate and challenge budget estimates and actuals.
  • Ensure a mitigation plan exists and validate the course of action.
  • Run high-level project meetings, maintain an issue log with ownership and action plans, and report on progress.
  • Manage project close-out for highly complex projects as phases are completed.
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and identify lessons learned.
What you bring
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced degree and / or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Five or more years of cable / wireline / fibre industry experience.
  • Experience in Accounting / Finance, Network, IT, Agile, Product Development, Strategic Planning or Marketing.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence to drive results.
  • Experience with development and delivery of executive communication; advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership with a track record of managing and engaging large teams and functional leaders.
  • Comfortable collaborating with all levels in the organization, including VP and SVP.
