Job description
Overview

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operations Planner ensures the smooth running of operations, managing production, inventory, and distribution of the LBS product range. They provide support to the QC Department regarding projects and operational emergencies.

Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Answer specific requests from customers on logistic and QC related issues.
  • Quality Management: Support QC and QA for BRC certification for Lallemand Baking Solutions (North America).
  • Production Management: Verify product inventories of LBS dough conditioners.
  • Production Management: Manage ingredient changes in production.
  • Production Management: Manage distribution of these products throughout Lallemand and AYS warehouses.
  • Production Management: Continuous follow up on sales, new customers, and production to ensure proper inventories.
  • Production Management: Evaluation of the needs of raw materials for each production facility.
  • Production Management: Reception of raw materials in the system and in the needed files.
  • Production Management: Coordinate raw material needs with purchasing.
  • Other related tasks.
Qualifications
  • Understanding of the procedures surrounding food industry standards. Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and GFSI programs.
  • Technical skills in materials and inventory management, production scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline in Food Science / Operations management.
