How can you grow with Nufarm?

We know that quality products are important to our customers. It’s because of this that we’re looking for a team-oriented Production Chemist to join our Quality team. In this role, you will provide Quality Assurance (QA) services to our manufacturing plant by collecting, preparing samples, carrying out laboratory testings and reporting of results from the analysis.

This role operates on rotating morning and afternoon shifts ( 6am to 3pm and 3pm to midnight Monday to Friday. 6am to 2pm 10am to 6pm weekends) with penalties and private health insurance fully provided.

What will you be doing?
  • Quality Control (QC) testing of finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, and environmental samples to support plant operations
  • Adhering to procedures, and accepting full responsibility for the analytical test results
  • Maintaining awareness of Production Schedule to effectively prioritise laboratory workloads in order to provide timely services to areas of high priority
  • Conducting method improvement/evaluation
  • Providing analytical support for process improvement trials, product quality investigations and product rework and stability trials
  • Troubleshooting of day to day product testing issues within the laboratory and production environment
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment used to perform analytical tests
  • Complying with the site requirements as required in the Quality, Safety, Health and Environment practices and procedures of the plant
  • Participating in continuous improvement projects and provide technical support to the production team
  • Ensuring all necessary QA/QC documentation is accurate and produced in a timely fashion.
What do you bring?

You’re a degree qualified Chemist with experience in the Quality Control and Quality Assurance of products in a manufacturing environment. You have experience in operating and troubleshooting instruments such as Gas Chromatography (GC) and High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and you have a good understanding of GLP, GMP and safety standards.

You are proactive, customer focused and have excellent communication skills. Prior hands on experience in ISO 9001 implementation, Quality module of an ERP system or LIMS would be highly desirable for this role. You work well autonomously and as a part of a wider team. You’re curious to learn about Agriculture and enjoy working in a dynamic environment.
