Job Title: Product Development Specialist

Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Technical Development
    • Prepare and manage complete technical specification packages, including accurate illustrations, garment construction details, and measurement specs.
    • Use Yunique PLM to input and update product data.
    • Review and measure fit samples, providing clear and timely feedback to suppliers.
    • Lead fit sessions with the design team and document revisions.
    • Communicate construction issues and follow up on resolutions with vendors.
    • Ensure adherence to established fit and quality standards.
    • Track new style numbers and manage all sample logistics.
    • Support with product charts, photography prep, and packaging / shipping as needed.
  • Design Support
    • Maintain and update digital line sheets.
    • Create detailed technical drawings using Adobe Illustrator.
    • Review and comment on fabric swatches, strike-offs, and other development materials.
    • Develop and size artwork specs for prints, embroidery, and knitwear.
    • Assist with recolouring prints and managing digital colour files.
    • Build and update BOMs (Bill of Materials) and colour chips in PLM.
    • Create Excel-based tracking tools to monitor vendor development.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in apparel product development.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Excel; PLM knowledge is an asset.
  • Understanding of fit and pattern-making processes.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
