Who we’re looking for:

CityNews Vancouver is looking for a Full-Time News Producer to join our dynamic team. This role will lead the production of our prime-time news specials and contribute to various aspects of daily news production on our streaming service and traditional newscasts. This role requires flexibility, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while staying within budget. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in long form news production and is an excellent collaborator. The position may require evening and weekend shifts.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage the production of news specials from concept to broadcast
  • Vet and finalize all production elements (fonts, graphics, outcues, etc.)
  • Collaborate with teams across the country to support local and national coverage
  • Line up and produce newscasts as needed
  • Assign and vet news stories when required
