What’s the ask?

RynoWorx Industries is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist to oversee purchasing, vendor resourcing, logistics, and reporting functions. This role is critical in ensuring our operations run smoothly, our inventory levels are optimized, and our supply chain remains cost-efficient and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

1. Purchasing

• Ensure all purchasing operations run smoothly and align with company objectives.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels: avoid overbuying (reduce capital costs) while preventing stockouts of key SKUs.
• Monitor purchase orders (POs) and follow up with overseas vendors to confirm production timelines and lead times are met.
• Collaborate with sales, inventory, and operations teams to forecast demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

2. Resourcing

• Review the full SKU catalogue and work with engineering to gather all technical information required for vendor resourcing.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while phasing out underperforming ones.
• Conduct regular market research to benchmark prevailing market prices.
• Lead price negotiations with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

3. Logistics

• Manage cross-border and international logistics, coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure timely inbound shipments.
• Monitor and maintain our HS code database to stay compliant with tariff regulations.
• Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring customs clearance is accurate and freight providers are applying the correct HS codes as per database records.
• Proactively resolve logistics challenges, import/export documentation discrepancies, and compliance issues to minimize delays.

4. Reporting

• Track and report on all stages of the purchasing cycle: orders to be placed, orders in process, and goods received.
• Ensure timely and accurate PO tracking and receiving in the ERP system, with vendor follow-ups for discrepancies.
• Work closely with accounting to reconcile POs, deposits, and partial receipts.
• Generate and analyze supply chain KPIs (e.g., supplier performance, cost savings, on-time delivery) to evaluate departmental results and highlight areas for improvement.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing (preferably with international and cross-border responsibilities).
• Possess a keen eye for detail and a structured, project-based mindset to deliver results on a fast paced schedule.
• Strong background in supplier negotiations, vendor management, and market research.
• Experience coordinating with freight forwarders and managing international logistics.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Odoo is an asset).
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin fluency is a strong asset.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (location not on public transit route).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; safety footwear required.

Nice-to-Haves

• Prior experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• First Aid and JHSC certification.
• Previous experience managing HS code classification and customs compliance.
