Through the Health Care Provider Contract, Calian employs health care professionals across Canada who are integral to supporting the health and wellbeing of our military members.

Position Overview

Calian is seeking a Primary Care Physician to add to our clinical team working at CFB Trenton, ON. The physician functions as an essential member of the health care team in the provision of comprehensive, multidisciplinary, collaborative primary health care services to Canadian Armed Forces members. These services include primary care, occupational, minor trauma care, health promotion, prevention of diseases and injuries, rehabilitation, and support services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients with acute and chronic health conditions including referral to other health care providers when warranted.
  • Deliver occupational health services such as, but not limited to:
  • Referral of patients for participation in programs for the use of indicated personal protective devices – hearing conservation, respiratory protection program.
  • Communicate with Senior Medical Authority on relevant clinical matters such as CF Spectrum of Care, complex patients requiring multi-disciplinary intervention, individual operational readiness.
  • Maintain patient medical information in Electronic Health Record and patient health records.
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Certification in Family Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C
Additional Requirements
  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
