Position Description

CGI is seeking an MS Power Platform Developer with strong experience building solutions using low code technologies such as PowerApps (Model-Driven and Canvas), Power BI, Power Pages, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents, SharePoint Online, Dynamics 365 CRM, Azure, SQL, Dataverse Web Services.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The Developer would have a key role in advancing the agency’s goals across the enterprise — exposing the developer to many facets of the business. The developer will have the opportunity to learn new and emerging cloud technologies, as well as participate in the development of various systems, languages, and platforms in a team that supports professional learning and development.

  • Develop advanced custom business applications, automated workflows, and processes.
  • Lead data analysis and create insightful dashboards and reports.
  • Collate, analyze, and document business requirements to support projects.
  • Coordinate and manage business and technical meetings with stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Provide architectural input to ensure supportability, reliability, and maintainability of solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power Platform features and share knowledge within the team.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Ensure security best practices in all solutions.
Required Qualifications

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Microsoft certifications (MS Azure, Power Platform, D365, and AI) are highly desired.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex Power Platform projects.
Technical Expertise
  • Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Azure AI Studio, and Co-Pilot Studio.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, or .NET.
  • Familiarity with Azure services is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range in British Columbia is $75,000 - $150,000.
