Overview

Job Title: PMO Manager

Location: Remote - Canada

The PMO Manager will lead a team of Project Management Officers (PMOs) across North America both onshore and offshore to drive operational excellence, resource optimization, and financial transparency. This role is pivotal in aligning project execution with strategic business goals by standardizing processes, enhancing reporting capabilities, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of leadership, analytical rigor, and hands-on project governance experience.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership & Strategy: Manage and mentor a geographically distributed PMO team.
  • Drive consistency in resource and process management across business units.
  • Participate in strategic and budgetary planning processes.
  • Project Governance & Reporting: Oversee project tracking, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for executive visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with contract SLAs and internal standards.
  • Define and track KPIs such as project delivery timelines, budget variance, and resource utilization.
  • Lead FMPR (Financial Monthly Project Review) for strategic accounts.
  • Prepare and consolidate pricing signoff for potential opportunity.
  • Financial Management: Prepare financial forecasts, track plan vs. actuals, and analyze project P&L.
  • Coordinate with Finance on invoicing, revenue recognition, and budget control.
  • Support pricing and SOW development for new projects.
  • Operational Excellence: Promote efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Lead capacity planning, utilization tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Support operational tools and systems including Sciforma, SAP, and MS Project.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with business unit heads, HR, Finance, and domain managers.
  • Facilitate communication between project teams and senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • 68 years of experience in PMO or project management roles.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen including P&L and SaaS metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with Sciforma, Jira, SAP and other enterprise systems (advantageous).
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
