Job description

Interior Health is seeking a Physiotherapist to join the interprofessional team at the Castlegar Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) on a casual basis. Shifts times: 08:00 to 20:00. Days: Rotating, including weekends.

About The Position

In accordance with professional practice standards, the Physiotherapist provides evidence based assessment, treatment, and education to support functional independence, injury management, and optimal health outcomes for clients across the lifespan.

Working collaboratively within an integrated urgent and primary care model, this role supports timely, patient centred care through clinical treatment, consultation with team members, and promotion of self management and health prevention strategies. Participation in quality improvement, program activities, and ongoing professional development is an integral part of this position.

About Castlegar UPCC

The Castlegar UPCC provides timely access to team based urgent and primary care services for the local community. Operating extended hours, the UPCC supports patients with non life threatening health concerns and those without a regular primary care provider. Care is delivered in a collaborative, interprofessional environment focused on accessibility, continuity, and patient‑centred practice, and is supported through partnerships with community organizations, including the Kootenay Boundary Aboriginal Services Collaborative, to promote culturally safe and respectful care for Indigenous patients.
