Role Details

We are seeking a Software Engineer Video who will help drive our systems evolution to join our team The role will be an integral part of the Video Streaming and Operations team working with video tech engineers to build and release products for various platforms like Desktop OTT Mobile The candidate will also be responsible for doing minimal video quality check building deploying and managing media encoding applications in cloud AWS / GCP

Your DaytoDay

Work with other engineers to maintain and evolve our media encoding platform

Work with the team on building out cloudbased microservices to support video processing workflows

Help build out the Partner SVOD Delivery pipeline to Apple Amazon Youtube etc

Field questions and requests from site publishers regarding encoding playback

Work with other developers and Operations team on streamlining our encoding pipeline

Encourage an engineering culture that promotes testdriven development and code coverage

Key Projects

Automating SVOD video delivery pipeline

Collaborate with team on feature requests and improvement around media encoding solutions

Work with the development team on a central logging and monitoring solution like New Relic Datadog Sumologic etc

Asset Ingestion workflow improvements and debugging jobs and workflows

Work with development teams on rearchitecturemodernizing existing systems into the cloud

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

You have

3 years of experience as a Software Engineer

BS degree in Computer Science similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

Experience working with Cloud/SaaS services such as Amazon AWS Google Cloud

Experience in programming languages such as PHP GoLang Python

Experience working with relational databases MySQL PSQL MSSQL etc

Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills

You might also have

Experience with video codecs AVC HEVC VP9 AV1 etc and audio codecs AAC EAC EC3 Atmos etc
