Role level : (AH05.11)- $31.71 to $36.16

Hours Of Work/Shifts: 37.5 Hours/Week - Primarily Weekdays with availability to work Evenings and Weekends as required for oncology clinic needs including rotating on call coverage for compounding

Key Qualifications:
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • 3 years of experience in oncology pharmacy
  • Working knowledge of NAPRA standards for Sterile Hazardous compounding
  • Strong knowledge of computer applications i.e. EPIC and MS Office
  • Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks and issues promptly and efficiently while meeting conflicting deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, prioritization and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to function efficiently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professional
Position Summary:
  • Duties as a Pharmacy Technician – primarily scheduled in oncology
  • Assist in continuing improvement initiatives to achieve best practice
  • Work with the NAPRA specialist to ensure compliance with NAPRA standards and support new initiatives to improve processes
  • Specialty program responsibilities: ordering medications, receiving, record keeping & maintaining inventory
  • Barcoding and assisting in maintenance of physical inventory in oncology
  • Additional duties as required including on call coverage for oncology compounding needs when clinic closed
