Job summary

Smartway Trailer Rentals is seeking a People Operations Coordinator to support our recruitment function in Paris, Ontario. This role offers hands-on experience across the full hiring cycle, collaborating with our People Operations team and hiring managers across Ontario.

You will help manage HRIS systems, participate in onboarding, training, and employee relations, and ensure smooth communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with HRIS platforms including UKG Ready.
• Knowledge of HR practices including talent acquisition, employee relations, training & development.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with candidates.
• Ability to handle data collection accurately while maintaining confidentiality; experience in administrative roles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain HR information systems such as UKG Ready and others to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Support talent acquisition efforts through applicant tracking systems by coordinating recruiting activities and maintaining candidate records.
• Assist with onboarding, training & development programs, and employee relations initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
• Collect and analyze HR data for reporting purposes, utilizing HRIS tools to generate insights that inform decision-making.
• Provide administrative support through data entry, document management, interview scheduling, and general HR sourcing activities.
