Job summary

Independent Accountants’ Financial Group seeks a highly driven HR Generalist to manage daily HR processes with a focus on recruitment for a Waterloo-area client. This hands-on, in-office role reports to the HR Leader and offers exposure to leadership and operations in a growth-focused environment.

You have 2–5 years in HR, post-secondary education in HR, and knowledge of ESA/OHSA; manufacturing or trades experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ experience in HR, recruitment and workforce coordination.
• Post-secondary education in HR or related field.
• Working knowledge of the ESA, OHSA and related employment legislation.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction or trades considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities across multiple positions.
• Draft job ads, manage advertising and resume collection.
• Review applications and move candidates through screening and interview stages.
• Coordinate interviews and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers.
• Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes.
• Maintain employee records including training, job descriptions and HR documentation.
• Assist with workforce related initiatives.
• Conduct job analyses for new and existing roles.
• Assist with policy updates, implementation and communication.
• Prepare professional correspondence, reports and HR related documentation.
• Work closely with leadership and operations to ensure HR activity supports business needs.
• Complete administrative and coordination tasks to support overall HR and H&S functions

What You’ll Do

What You Bring

• 2–5 years’ experience in HR, recruitment and workforce coordination
• Post-secondary education in HR or related field
• Working knowledge of the ESA, OHSA and related employment legislation
• Experience in manufacturing, construction or trades considered an asset
• Confidence making independent day-to-day decisions within the scope of the role
