Role description & responsibilities
  • Own bi‑weekly, end‑to‑end payroll for≈250 employees in QC, ON & BC, acting as the single point of contact for all Canadian and cross‑border (CA↔US) payroll topics.
  • Validate and submit remittances, journal entries, year‑end slips (T4, RL‑1), ROEs, mobility premiums and taxable benefits while ensuring strict compliance with CRA/RQ rules and internal SOX controls.
  • Partner daily with HR to capture hires, terminations and rate changes; run special cycles for commissions, bonuses, expense reimbursements and year‑end adjustments.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, generate KPIs, support external/internal audits and lead improvement projects across Nethris, ADP, Replicon and related systems.
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary diploma in accounting/finance; 3‑5 years full‑cycle Canadian payroll (PCP or progress toward it).
  • Hands‑on expertise with Nethris plus solid Excel; working knowledge of US‑Canada cross‑border payroll and RRSP administration.
  • Mastery of French and English (written and spoken) is required, as English is essential to communicate with an internal client group primarily based outside of Québec.
  • Detail‑oriented, autonomous, and collaborative with the ability to manage priorities in a multi‑site environment.
Compensation

The salary range for this position typically falls between CAD $53,200 and $62,600, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
