Salary: $100,000 to $120,000, based on experience

We are seeking a Payroll Manager for a strategic and confidential role within a leading professional services organization. This position requires an experienced and collaborative individual, capable of leading a small team and playing a key role in a major technological transformation. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between the payroll and human resources teams, ensuring the optimization of our processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full payroll cycle for approximately 600 multi-province employees in Canada, with the support of a payroll technician you will supervise.
  • Lead the payroll process and HR data integration, acting as a key partner in optimizing payroll processes within Workday.
  • Proactively participate in the post-implementation phase of Workday, identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing solutions.
  • Ensure a strong liaison between the payroll and human resources departments to restore and optimize collaboration and information sharing.
  • Act as an expert consultant to employees and management on payroll and compliance matters.
  • Be a hands-on leader and a change agent, capable of managing complex projects and improving workflows.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in payroll management.
  • Proven experience with Workday is a non-negotiable criterion.
  • Experience in a professional services firm or a similar structure is a strong asset.
  • A solid understanding of the payroll cycle and a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent leadership, supervision, and delegation skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), with a strong command of French to interact with a bilingual clientele and colleagues.
